Indian passport holders require a Vietnam e-visa, which can be applied for online at the official Vietnamese government portal (evisa.xuatnhapcanh.gov.vn). The fee is USD 25 for a 90-day single-entry visa. Processing takes 3 business days. We assist with the application process as part of our booking service.
Vietnam's long north-south stretch means weather varies by region. Hanoi and Ha Long Bay are best from October to April. Da Nang and Hoi An are pleasant from February to August. Ho Chi Minh City is year-round with a dry season from December to April. For a full north-to-south trip, November to April is the sweet spot.
Vietnam is considered very safe for tourists. Petty theft in markets and on motorbikes exists in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, so keep bags close. The country is welcoming to international travellers and Indian food is available in most tourist areas.
Vietnamese cuisine is largely not vegetarian, but Buddhist temple towns like Hoi An have excellent vegetarian restaurants. Indian restaurants exist in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. We can arrange vegetarian meals at hotels on request.
